Your Voice

Contributed by moses on Wednesday, 15th March 2006 @ 09:19:17 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

In the deafening silence,
I let gravity take my eyelids.
I become weightless.
Please dear make this,
make these pains go away.
I want you to stay,
just stay right here.
Stay with me as I wait for the day,
the new day to appear.

But I can't hear your voice anymore.
Oh, and I've been here before.
This growing sense of longing is just something
I can't ignore.

Vivid dreams play in my mind.
Come and lead me,
lead me blind.
Talk to me,
I've become so lonely.
Mend these wounds,
my hearts grown so empty
without you here.
Come lay near me into the night.
You make everything so right.

But I can't hear your voice anymore.
Oh, and I've been here before.
This growing sense of longing is just something
I can't ignore.

Up and left me waitin',
with only memories and my imagination.
Everything's grown so cold,
too cold to touch.
You were my supporting crutch.
Now come into my dreams,
to comfort me there.
I just need you,
need you somewhere.
I wonder if you even care.
Only if you were close, so near.
If you could just be here.
Why don't you come back,
and comfort me before I fade,
I fade to black?

But I can't hear your voice anymore.
Oh, and I've been here before.
This growing sense of longing is just something
I can't ignore.

It would make a lovely song. Father in heaven will be for you, when you are lonely, He won't ignore you, that is one voice that we can hear, that is.. if we listen.

wonderful poem
