Wait

Contributed by weepingprophet on Wednesday, 15th March 2006 @ 09:09:00 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

uncaptivating reach
lust is a simple disease
what a fool to believe
pity on the idea of freedom

bleeding into the lines
thoroughly embracing the blind lies
all that remains is to be found
in an empty bottle
a shallow pool of self-pity
all that remains to be redeemed
is gasping for breath
under the currents
fighting the torrid occurance
of worthlessness

painted into the mind
is the simplest suicide
how trust colors all things gray
strips the light right from the day
steals the acknowlegment of pain away
leaves its victim an unknowing prey

the hunted learns to be agile
fast and always aware
the hunter becomes proud
forgets the agony that carried him there
swift as the sea he's swept into his own defeat
carelessly riding the wings of deciet
the hunted begins to embrace, not retreat
grows stronger in the quiet fortress of self-relfection
learns to adhere to all means of perception

the hunted can change his fate
still in the darkness he has learned
to wait
cultivating the lines that were once used to wound
he owns them, strips them, and then he will use
all he was offered to rectify his pursuit
in worth

the hunter will see his defeat
from his tormented prey
his lies will become his bait
drawn into the trap of he who knows the power of wait
