Confined in this world of morality, I am constantly battling right vs. wrong or should I say what is known to be good vs. evil. A standard way of life, though I am mentally out of the norm. I am a sociopath to the rules and regulations and what I am taught to be tradition by the forefathers of the north. Examinations of mental capacity, emotional battles of HE vs. SHE...who created the ethics on love? Those who are looked to as narrow-minded though clever, the rulers of this nation, we are to coincide or be beaten, not physically, but mentally, emotionally, our pride broken, faces lowered as we walk pass them. This is NOT the battle of BLACK vs. WHITE! But a battle of individuality and the right to disagree. This is our life! Our existence! Our reason to survive this anonymous phase that we have been placed into. And it is up to US to determine the outcome.

I thought the whole form and content to be full of attitude. I liked it very much. It got a little safe at the end with "it is up to US to determine the outcome" but it still has a ring of sincerity and with the attitude that was cultivated throughout the entire poem it doesn't really matter how the end is written we all should know by then anyway. |
