Still Floating

Contributed by Ari on Tuesday, 14th March 2006 @ 12:08:45 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Still floating from those messages
Life sent me that day
On my very own cloud, smiling
Thanking life for what it had to say

Not everyone has the beauty to inspire
Coupled with a mind to teach
Squeezing all the potential out
Forcing an almost lost soul to reach

So I’m floating on my very own cloud
Anyone can join and float with me
I would love to give another their wings
I want to make a blind man see

Life gave me the ability to smile
And you were the one to it glue to my face
Helping me help the world
Helping me find my place

The mind can be complacent
Not knowing what it really needs
But my smile is still going
Off the fruit of life it feeds

Give me my music, give me my happiness
Tend to another’s wounds like you did mine
Why should I be the only one?
We should all drink the sweetest wine

Help another smile just like I was helped
And the smile will come back to you
And sometimes that smile
Is all you need to get you through

Still floating

Peace…

It sounds like a draught of the mead of life, all right. I know the feeling this sort of thing inspires, and it's truly reviving. Ah, do we need it sometimes.

A fine piece, simple but echoing the joy of life. Well done.

Andrew
