I Hope You Know

Contributed by lonely_boy on Tuesday, 14th March 2006 @ 12:00:45 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I got this letter hoping it would bring me joy
Though the love I had for you is now destroyed
That hurt me in a way that I wish I went back
Back to cutting myself when love was what I lacked
It was the hardest time of my new life to stay away
From all the ********* I felt that day
I was mad at myself for letting it take place
Now it’ll be a memory I’ll never be able to erase
I was so depressed that I couldn’t do what I liked
All because I wanted to cope with a knife
But I thought of the promise I made to you
That hurting myself I would never do
Though that letter made me think twice about what I said
How it’d be great to be happy without being dead
I'm hoping that this feeling will pass on
Because I'm unsure if I can hang on for long
I will try but if I get lost in the night
I hope you know you ended my life

really nicely written
very emotional and honest

remember it will get better, but its too bad that whoever this person is did you so wrong

writing poetry is one step in the right direction to making it feel better

I wont say to you that it will get better because that is like saying i know everything and that what i say will happen. lets face it... like sucks and people hurt each other. you have shown that in such a way that it is beautiful...
I can imagine how this feels because i have been and i am still very much in that very dark lonely place..... this was such a wonderfully written piece.
