As I walked to the edge
all was gone
darkness would reign
and never be dawn
my pitiful cries were all that was heard
there was no other life
no human
no bird
I was choking on tears
of pain and despair
and I struggled to breath the scorching hot air
and as I was slowly burned from inside
I knew that I was the last one to die.
