Dear son, this world you'll be living in can be awful and rough
So if your gonna make it you've got to be tough
But if you ever fall down i'll lend you a helping hand
I'll always do my best and i'll give you all that i can
Remember to always stand up and fight for what you believe
And as long as you work hard their is nothing you can't achieve
Some days you'll want to just curl up and die
And every now and then you might just want to cry
Don't believe the negative some will try telling you
You'll always be someone as long as you remain strong and true
Don't let yourself be tempted by the fruit of another
If i should ever leave this world make sure you look after your mother
Keep your head to the sky and give your heart to the man
Always count on God when you need help to stand
Love your neighbor, your friends, and your enemies too
And when times get rough remember that im always here for you

Congratulations on the impending birth of your child. Your lovely poem applies to the sons and daughters of us all. I really enjoyed your thoughts. |

The powerful bond of parenthood, even before birth. So lovingly and sensibly put down in words. Really lovely. Sue x
