That Little Boy Inside

I have a little boy inside me that wants to get out
He wants to have a good time
He wants to scream and shout
Then I met these guys that gave me some drugs
That little boy inside me said I shouldn’t do it
But I ignored him and as I smoked I shrugged
I met this girl that I really liked a lot
I told her that I loved her and gave her my heart
Though that little boy inside me said that something’s not right
I never listened to him until that ***** left me that night
I started cutting myself because of this sadness
And that little boy inside me didn’t understand why
I wrote poems about how I felt and how I wanted to die
The little boy inside me said that there’ll be a brighter day
Only when I was done cutting myself did I listen
I met this new girl and she made me feel better
But that little boy inside me didn’t say anything about her
So I thought nothing of it and I asked her out
Still no word of the little boy inside me
Then she left and I laid there crying in my room
That little boy inside me said I would be fine
I didn’t listen because I felt my heart was dead
So I started cutting deeper and didn’t really care
That little boy inside me just stayed quiet
I met another girl that was better than the rest
She was the only one to say that she loved me
Though for some odd reason I wanted to ask that little boy for advice
But that little boy inside me is dead

You committed quite a sin; doing the little boy in. He was really nice, and gave good advice; For his years, very mature, and you still need him, I'm sure. But you cut him one time too many, now, his good advice, you want get any. You're on your on, my friend, you committed the unpardonable sin. ( I'm kidding, of course)

I don't think the little boy inside you is really dead. He is just very pis*ed off. He is trying to tell you not to hurt yourself. "The child is father to the man." Good write!
