Self Has Become Numb

Contributed by eggflipper on Saturday, 11th March 2006 @ 04:03:43 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

A constant hum
grounds the form
by use of the senses.
Levitation is the freedom
against religious hierarchy.

Self has become numb
with the surrender of conscious.
Realms of spirit
rule the domain
where instincts become the norm,
despite the language that fails
to the spectacle of sybolism.
The anima has married us
despite fraudulent hormonal changes.

We were robbed of spiritual wisdom,
the thieves came during the day
clothed in attire we were deemed to respect.
Fears are given like oppression
to govern discerning thoughts.
We always were afraid of ourselves.
Power succumbs to power,
to the image it tried hard to hide,
the path of destruction took
in obtaining dominance over us.

Where does contentment lie,
in the realms of complacement and compromise?
Wordly thought would have us believe
in the art of compromise.
Yet the path to spiritual perfection
contains no such law.

Men have become content
in their failures,
his failure of self-taught misfortune.
Civil wars are fought
with conflicting ideologies,
the fence is swayed neither way.
As men they are taught of prides seduction.
People of lustful passions
cannot help but fall prey
for a black widow.

Webs are spun to catch
unsuspecting nations
in hopes of fulfilling a powerful
social darwinism.
In its wake
our gods died,
our connection were lied to.
The constant hum obscures the light.
