Giving up

Contributed by dark_angel_babay on Thursday, 30th January 2003 @ 03:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I've given up on trying,
Tears fall from my eyes,
I can't go on any longer,
Living this life,
The pain carves away at my heart,
With mercy I cannot find,
I need to ease the heartache,
And finally stop caring this time,
I sit here locked inside my head,
From the blackhole I cannot flee,
It's over this time,
And my head proves empty,
A mirror sits upon the wall,
And what I see is death,
The only way to stop the hurt,
Is to take my last breath,
The breath I so long fought for,
From the pain I couldn't hide,
So with that I need to say it,
I need to say good-bye,
Farewell to my life,
Farewell to the pain,
The emptiness breaks my heart,
It's over, it's done, good-bye,
I have completely lost my heart,
And you seem to have thought
You will always win,
You try to go behind my back,
You seem to think I don't know,
What happens with the two of you,
I laugh at your ignorance,
At how pathetic you think I am,
Don't you realize even in death,
I will win?
You can't hold me down,
And you can't hide the truth,
The pain that I had to hold with-in grows,
Solmn and then grows old,
So with that I leave,
I'm gone,
No more this time it is the end....
