Behold the Sun

Contributed by Man_On_High on Saturday, 11th March 2006 @ 01:58:54 AM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

Behold the sun, how bright
from yonder east it springs,
as if the soul of life and light
were breathing from it's wings.

So bright a light it broke
upon the souls of men;
so fresh the dreaming world awoke
in truthful radiance then!

Before you, sun, arose
stars clustered through the sky-
but oh how dim and pale were those
to this one burning eye...

and truth lent many a ray
to bless the pagan's night-
but just how weak and palid they,
to thy one glories light!

Billy - 2006

Gosh, how soft and serene this piece, Billy. It's as dreamy
as watching the sunrise itself ... or the sunset.

*sigh*

Dreams and wishes made me think ... sounds like a love poem
to me, (but it could just be the hopeless romantic in me -- I have
been warned before about reading between the lines ... lol)

In any case, dreams or love, it is shining silver through
and through. Wonderful bit of poetic sweetness. And
gosh, if the flow isn't just perfect, I don't know what is!!
