Across the bay, a yellow moon plays havoc
with the cloudy constituency
of the breakers-
throwing a charismatic charm
over shape and form and shadow;
alive.. swimming in the dark.
Symphonic waves below
shedding dark pulses of peace
on the craggy foreshore..
stark landscape reaching
for the arrogant moonlight,
hurting me with jagged hints
of simple witchcraft;
memories-
Gradually, joy breaks
surging upon slow waves;
glints of bruised brilliance
shining o're some distant causeway,
routing tired old suspicions-
a blackened shoal to read magic by.
Faces from another time
articulate with love,
rise between the moon and tears;
unbridled from a buried somewhere..
blind and black is the world of sea and sky...
for a long - shimmering moment...

wow, I like this free verse.. the meters were such, I tried to read them as haiku lol. no such luck lol.. although I find, you could easily make a lot of these verses work out for haikus because of the nature ..all content . Oh well, you get what I do mean.. Just silly ole Raquey chatterboxing here. Lovely work.. |

My God! I'm with wiz ... awe indeed!
Dazzling imagery here, Billy. Absolutely captivating. Each time
I thought a line somehow captured my heart, another one overpowered
the hold. This was a tremendously enjoyable read, (as is all of your
work ... )
"Faces from another time
articulate with love,
rise between the moon and tears"
All I can say is wow! Now, that is poetry.
