Down the empty hull way,
Head held high,
Smile on the lips,
All alone, without a care nor fear,
Through the narrow gates,
Steps that are farm,
Eyes looking straight ahead,
All alone, without a second glance back,
Down the long stairway,
One foot at a time,
Hands by the side,
All alone, without a burden or tear,
Through the unknown doorways,
Song in the heart,
Hope in the soul,
All alone, but needing no one,
I walk on and on and on…
This is my life.
