A premonition
Something grand
Outlandish, propitious
Auspicious from the start
Fist over cuff
Lips shut
Cut, it's a wrap
Snap the neck back
From where the snap first attacked
Recede to the place
Legs crossed
Human race
Lost
A holocaust
Breath of salt
Air is caught
Lungs burst
Monoxide thirsts
Cells contort
Mutation is sought
The fight is fought
Blood has spilt
As the cup tilts
Isolation
Separation
Equal but segregation
Water fountains
Desperation
Schools dismounted
Statues planted
Narcissist are granted
Every whim
Like a pin poking the frail skin
Silver frosting
With a golden rim
Don't cut it all off
Just a trim
Trustworthy
But undeserving
Unholy matrimony
A grave unearthing
Save the king
Forget the queen
She is a whore
An adulterer, unclean
Deposit her
Far from eyes that have seen
A travesty, your majesty
A servant I have been

Intense....I think I use that word a lot with your poetry, man. It makes one think, makes one wonder where you're going sometimes and wonder where you've been. I really dug the last lines.....
"A travesty, your majesty
A servant I have been"
That seems to wrap it up pretty good.
Peace to you, Laura |

Captivating read, was this. I must think on it more, though.
Well done.

...And this lowly servant of your superb writes is blown away, yet again. So many two-fold lines in here that provoke a chasm of thought process. Shamwow!!!
