No way back

Contributed by Davinah on Friday, 10th March 2006 @ 02:06:47 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

No longer the princess of Sadness
But crowned the Queen of Darkness
As I lost the battle with my demons
And there’s no way back from damnation

Kindness is a blessing
But I cannot find it in my sordid heart
And I lost my virtues a long time ago
When my soul was ripped apart

I yielded to temptation
And somehow I found a way to cure the pain
I cleansed my mind with the cheapest of thrills
An now I can no longer get rid of the stain

I live what I have learned
How to hate, to destroy, to kill all the feeling in me
I roam around, detached, aloof, and solitary
I am not to blame for my insanity

What’s the point of being alive?
When you no longer live but just exist
There’s no comfort in emptiness and despair
As I ponder on all the chances that I might have missed

No longer the Lady of Grief
But the Countess of Evil
I joined my demons in their battle
And there’s no way back from Purgatory

I would not know where to start with this kind of poem you do 'dark' exceptionally well.
