HE BLED FROM HIS HANDS

Contributed by Adelle on Friday, 10th March 2006 @ 01:48:04 AM in AEST
Topic: spiritual

He bled from his hands
Showing the infinite mercy that he has
He bled from his face
Showing he had humility and grace
He bled from his eyes
In the form of hardened tears like ice
Heavy weighted was every tear
So every one could see his emotions so sincere
He bled from his feet
Showing no fear of defeat
He bled from his crown
Showing that to God he would only bow down
He bled from his back
Proving his undying faith that he did not lack
He carried the cross
Even the one all is familiar with, even those who are lost
It was heavy weighted
His knees were weakened
But he still pushed on
Even after he was beaten
Seeing the nails hammered into his hands
I wonder how incredible was that man?
And then seeing his feet also with nails hammered in them
I wonder why did he have to be so brutally beaten?
And then after all is said and done
They raise him up to suffer like no one
Having his body held up on the cross, with six nails
And in pain and suffering to God he yells
“Forgive them for they know not what they have done”
Then my heart begins to burn inside
While thinking why have I not let this man walk by my side?
He is a man who died upon the cross in Calvary
For me he died, I repeat he died for me
His body being a temple
It suffered with even the unthinkable
Beatings beyond mans repair
Only God was able to heal him there
So when I choose to live in sin
I’m choosing not to follow him
Making the choice to follow the crowd
The one who yelled kill him! Put him out
He then returned to God above
And is waiting for me to return with love
So its time for me to get in line
He will take me through the cracks of time
to the other side, which is through the veil
Where I will see God waiting for me still
I will remember him
I will love him
I will be in heaven
