Every time a rainbow dies
Someone else dies in vain
In an angry world full of lies
Love is becoming maimed
Every time the sky turns black
It's turning away from what it sees
There is no way of turning back
Unless we give ourselves the key
Every time a lonely star cries
She's tired of waiting for the sun
So every time a rainbow dies
It's because of what we've become
