A soft golden circle,
Flat and round.
Gooey rich chocolate
Hidden in buttery dough.
So appealing.
Just a bite
Will satisfy my need.
Just a taste
To see what it's like.
Give it a chance.
I spot the treasure,
It appears so close.
The distance so short.
I delicately reach
For this prized sweet.
My arm outstretched,
My finger tips
Gently brush the edge
And a few crumbs fall to the ground.
I am touching my dream,
It's within my reach.
So clear in my view,
But I just can't grasp it.
I just can't grasp it.
I just can't grasp it.
I just can't grasp the love of my desire.
I just can't grasp the love.
I just can't grasp this love.

I like it.
At first, I thought it was more cutsie, but toward the end I got that..maybe it was metaphorical? |
