Without An Answer

Contributed by Inevitable on Thursday, 9th March 2006 @ 03:19:51 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

My head is pounding and words are failing to come
He lifts the dagger straight out of my heart and I breathe again
Don't question my hours of constant
worry and seduction.
We wouldn't sleep if the night told us not to
But we did it enough in the day anyway
We do it so often that our worlds will never sleep
and she'll scream just to say she got away.
Last night, my heart bled
Staining your sheets with their tears
Soft whispers run destiny through the wall
Fate and future currently in ruins.
You knew what you were doing when you fed me lies
My hands held low, shackled to your demands.
I left myself far behind
this body I know, is not my own
You knew I didn't want to
so many speak these feeble pleas
But you'll always sleep with me
Whether it be in my mind
or entangled in my bedsheets
reality is as it always was

We love without an answer...
