Angry poems

Contributed by Lin54 on Thursday, 9th March 2006 @ 02:31:25 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I was upset by all the angry poems I saw on this site,
But now I'm getting the idea that this approach is right.
I just read a neat poem where someone expressed honest feelings
And I realized that this was a very good way of dealing!

When it comes right down to the way a person should try to cope,
Writing down heart struggles in words is a better way to grope!
Those 'striking out' words may be from an extremely angry heart
Or someone whose heart is broken in two and falling apart.

Whatever the purpose that's behind all those thoughts to flow through,
At the time they are written those feelings are very much true!
Yet, a few days may pass by and the situation has changed,
Still there was something learned through those honest words that were arranged!

As long as they are on paper and not in anyone's face,
The words COULD silently disappear or simply be erased.
It's once those angry words touch the person they are meant to harm,
Then life or death to relationships has raised its own alarm!

But share those words with the rest of us 'poets' here at this site,
We will read and identify with them, but not cause a fight!
Some of us who's been there will go to our knees in prayer anew,
That burdens of hate, anger or sorrow be lifted in you!

I am glad that you have come to terms with angry poetry. I think that writing angry poetry is a good way to vent anger. I mean yeah not as long as someone actually says some of this stuff in other peoples faces but it is a good way to get out anger. This poem was a very well written poem. You voiced your opinion,, great poem....

take care
christina

What a constructive way to promote honest anger; I like it. Always relate angry poems here, don't mail them (though); for, some of us are even given to prayer.

Inspiringly provocative, and uniquely constructive!
