Please chase these starting tears away
ebb mine to meet with springs-
tonight at least I've time to pray
for what the 'morrow brings.
Like sunset gleams that linger late
when all is darkening fast;
are hours like these we snatch from Fate...
the brightest and the last.
To gild our blackest days, if Heaven
should one bright hour allow;
so think that one bright hour is given,
in all it's splendor now.
Let's live it through a final night like waves that from the shore,
one minute swell, and are touched with light 'till lost for evermore.

Aw, dear Billy, you've captured a most pleasing
sensation in this sonnet. I adore this.
And the author's note is wonderfully insightful.
Most impressed, am I at the discipline YOU have exercised.
This was [IS] so gently beautiful.
Oh my, yes, but I am completely in love with this style of write ...
[and the life you've given it!]

I cannot but echo all of the above.
Spledid Sonnet,! -
I love most of all the lines:
"Hopes never dies.. only dreams - so keep hope alive and all of your dreams will come true"
"To him belongs the world who can give Hope"
(Pierre Teilhard de Chardin S.J.)- my favorite writer.. Have a poem on the theme too.
A most exquisite Sonnet Billy
Blessinjgs
