I know some times I talk in circles
And say things you find mean
But often they just come out wrong
Not quite the way they seem
I never wanted to cause you pain
Or make you hurt inside
I wanted you to trust in me
And to have somewhere to hide
I don’t mean to raise my voice
I never mean to be so rude
I just get so caught up in things
And need time to be subdued
I don’t mean to brush you off
Or ignore you and your sighs
But sometimes I’m afraid
When I look into your eyes
Afraid that I will screw it up
I think I’ve done so in the past
I tried to love another…
But it didn’t seem to last
I’m scared I don’t know just how
Don’t know what words to say
To keep you here with me
So you don’t just leave one day...

| Hey, there! I like how easy to understand your poem is. You didn't muddle it all up with a lot of frilly, ten-dollar words. I love a simple, straightforward poetic style. And you rhymed the whole thing, too. I'm impressed! |

| Don't live your life being scared your love will leave you. Yes it hurts but the pain will subside... and some one new will come along to help you out in your time of need. Just b/c they leave you doesn't mean theres something wrong with you... i know you loved them, but come to realize you are an awesome person, they're just to stupid to see it. |
