Who takes me away
Never to be seen from again
Vanished from the earth and the heavens
Who leads me astray
Down the wrong worn path
Into the deep forests immersed in the wilderness
Who lies to me
Makes me believe in destiny
Is anyone really ever made to believe in anything?
Who has forgotten
Of the promises made in prayer
Answered, it will be cherished, and worth many tears
Who wants more
Superfluous accounts of audacious clowns
Painted in bright colors the watermarks are thus drowned
Who returns me
To original time of current speed
Pressed against the precipice, wishing the light to breathe

i thought this was really interesting but I'm a bit confused by it. I gather from the title that this is a poem that is into instant gratification or simple pleasures but my question is: Is this a poem that wants people to be led to religion or the exact opposite. Forgive me if this is way off base. I think its good, it got a reaction from me. |
