Counterfeit

The money he gave me was counterfeit.
I got in a lot of trouble because of it.
His crooked ways got me in a mess.
When I paid for my groceries, I was placed under arrest.
He gave me the counterfeit money when I fixed his car.
It was humiliating to be put behind bars.
I should've known he couldn't be trusted.
When I think of how low he's sunk, I am disgusted.
He has fooled a lot of people but now I know he's a crook.
Now he's the one who is placed in cuffs and booked.
The cops searched his house and they found his printing plates.
When he gets out of jail, I hope he'll go straight.
I hope and pray that he'll change the way he lives.
I could hate him but I'll try to forgive.

short and amusing, i liked it's simplicity
