Me and You

Contributed by kerrbear on Sunday, 5th March 2006 @ 06:07:02 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

You and me
Me and you
Don't go together
Like we used to
Looking down the hall
Of all my memories
I can't get through any of the doors
'Cause you have all the keys
Your foolish words
Cut me to my core
And I can't ever recall
Having been hurt like this before
So this I have decided
To let you go your way
And running through my head
Are the broken things you say
At times I seem most happy
You come and dull my world
Visions of what you do to me
Drift up and come unfurled
I don't know what to say to you
The one who breaks my heart
There's only one thing left to do
Shut you out and anew I will start

man a story so many times told
I say believe in one self
And carry on
Out there a world awaits
But inside you aint aware
You will be only just too late

Sounds so close to my world other than the fact that as hard as I might try I could never shut a certain someone out despite the fact that her "...foolish words
Cut me to my core..."
