Once Upon A Time

Her voice drones on.
She speaks of fairies and nymphs.
My mind drifts from
Castles and underworlds,
And heavens and hells.
My mind is on him.
He is mighty Zeus,
And I dream to be Hera.
He is the royal king,
And I long to be his Queen.
His royal robe a navy tone
Fashioned with the Michigan M.
In this fairy tale
We'll live happily ever after.
But in reality,
I am the ugly frog
That can't be transformed.
Once upon a time
I dream of
Happily ever after.
