On That Day

Contributed by outsider on Wednesday, 29th January 2003 @ 04:00:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Watch to see if I falter
As I see you before me.
Look into my eyes then
And tell me that I think i'm wrong.
Put your hand on my chest
And tell me my heart doesn't sing your song
Let me put your hand in mine
Then see if I think it doesnt belong.

Watch me as with my speechless mouth
I kiss your lips gently and release from myself tears
As my feelings of love overflow for you
Please ease your fears
My eyes are not wet with regret
But with a feeling i've missed you for years.

Close your eyes as I wrap my arms around you
And I cling to you like a limpet to a stone
Then ask yourself if I'm overwhelmed to see you
Or content to be without you and alone.
Realise as I finally speak that I love you deeply
And never want us to part again for with you I am home.
