MY MOONLIGHT DANCE

Contributed by Adelle on Sunday, 5th March 2006 @ 01:30:01 AM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

Drip-drop, flip-flop
Flip-flop, drip-drop
Ringing, singing
Singing ringing
Tip- toe, tip- toe
Slip and shine on the road
Forwards, backwards
Side ways here and there
Sparkle, shine
Oh how, this moment is mine!
Hands up in the air
I dance like a joyful prayer
Lights shining through the clouds
The moon is poking out
Lights reflecting on the wet street,
Not a soul is out to see
Me and this moment, me and this moment
Dancing, singing
Praising, gazing
Off to the skies
Where shining are the lights
Sparkling here-sparkling there
Sparkles everywhere in the air
Bright moon
Shining through
Hitting the shining street
Dancing on the moon, are my feet
Dancing, dancing
Kicking, prancing
Listening to the music,
Of the rain hit-
Hit the ground,
All around.
In this moment, I do surround
Myself in every sight, feeling and sound
Drip- drop
Flip- flop
Makes the music of the rain drop
And my feet in the rains, puddles, flop
Sparkle, sparkle
My eyes do shine and glow
In this perfect setting of the light and glow.
Rain dripping down my face
Dancing in this moon light space
My hair glowing in the sidewalk streetlight
Sparkling in the rain and shine
Tasting the rain,
Kissing the moon light paint
I am down on my knees
Kissing the moons reflection in this rain and breeze
Lying on my back,
With the moon’s light under my back,
Up at the moon in the sky, I stare at
Completely surrounded
In this perfect moment …
Hearing only one drip-
Then silence before another drop
Drip- silence- drop, then quietness
The clouds hurrying away,
The moons reflection does not stay
All the sparkle is sucked back up in the sky
Before I could even say good-bye
Well, I was alone in this moment
Though, I am happy with it, I got to spend
With the rain and the stars
The moons reflection and sparks
I danced in the rain
Kissed the moon,
Now, here I am with you
Only you decide to believe
I kissed the moon light paint
Oh, but I did and it was great- oh how it was great

This was a joy to read. Wonderful.. very believable read. Wonderful dance you had all alone with the moon and the rain and stars.. lovely picture acheived, you are a wonderful writer. I am a sky watcher, so this poem really made me happy. I love the moon and its light kisses me often.
