My Horizon

Contributed by RealCrystal on Saturday, 4th March 2006 @ 10:30:08 PM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

As I look into the horizon,
A ebony mahogany mix of a complexion catches my attention
and I find my self encompassed in the composition...
Of the structure of his nose and lips,
and... round brown dark deep eyes,
And...glistening smile has me spellbound,
“Hey beautiful”,
Is what he says to me,
As if he’s forgotten the perfect impression,
His ancestors left on him...
Ineffable...
Undescribable.

Conversation and exchange of communications,
Had me leaving his presence with a peculiar feeling of...
amazement,
immense happiness and a needed fulfillment,
as I walked and wished he would call my name
just so I can hear his soothing accent
As he brings forth breath from his lungs
So that Crystal can gently roll off his tongue.
And on the phone,
The tone of his voice,
Sound of his laughter,
Content of the issues on his mind,
Inspire me to progress,
As his intellectuality sends chills through my body,
As if his strong hands were caressing spine,
relieving...
appeasing.

This boy, this man this paradigm of beauty
doesn’t bask in the glory of his unknown power over me,
But after months humbles his mind to the thought of matrimony.
Please don’t misconstrue the meaning as I finish high school,
I mean he would have been a good person, a good man
and better yet a good husband,
Who indeed would have helped me achieve things past my original mindset.
To bad these experiences were merely apparitions, For this man doesn’t exist yet
Our society couldn’t appreciate his existence
He was cast out,
Now I can’t acknowledge his intellect,
Because his Mother aborted him before he could become an infant.
And I have been forced to deal with a neverending loneliness.
This man, my future man,
Was killed in a driveby when he was thirteen,
Would have grown to success and made me his African American Queen,
My heart, my future love,
Preferred a high over his life,
Drained his soul through tracks that seeped into his veins

Now as I look into the horizon,
I see what could have, but has never been,
And anguish enters my heart,
And nostalgia enters my mind,
Aspirations seek to gloom
As I question,
Wonder,
Am I meant to be alone?
