Lost and Found - Track 1 - Second Chance

Contributed by Nazmythian on Saturday, 4th March 2006 @ 10:12:31 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

Slide battled demons
Most all of his days
But one night he met up
With a Reverend Coltraine

Who told him a story
And read from a book
And caused Slide to take
A long hardened look

At the life he had led
And the places he'd been
Regardless his past
Regardless his sins

The Preacherman said ...

Slide's soul was still his ~

( Mothy ... I hope I done him justice )

"But when are they gonna learn, you can't rebuild
every bridge you burn?"

Wow. That is a commanding line. In fact this whole piece is quite
powerful. Scotty ... you've turned Slide's whisper in your ear, into
something grand. I know the rest is going to be just as impressive!

Wonderful work snazzy!

*hugs*

Ok, I am a very big fan of the poetry of Nazmythian. Then I discovered Slide, and became a fan of his as well. The two share the same body, but they write very different. Will they ever write together? I must know the answer to this complex question. Can two personalities come together in the name of art?

A great job as always Slide and thanks for sharing Naz!

Scott, I'm sure Mothy would love this, I'm sure he'd be proud. You've portrayed Slide very well. The character has such a personality, it's wonderful.

You are a very talented writer, my friend, a superb storyteller.

I love the repeated part of this.

Great write, my special friend.
*hugs tons*
