The Dare

I'm sure that you didn't know...
That this was my greatest fear.

I'm sure that you didn't know...
How it hurts to be standing here,

knowing that when i see your face,
I might just shed a tear,

knowing that this whole 'perfect' thing,
was just a stupid dare.

I'm sure that it didn't cross your mind,
that I was still waiting there.

I'm sure it didn't cross your mind,
That this was my greatest fear.
