Divided
My cigarettes burning away,
Ashes of my life blowing away,
Torn between desperation and apathy,
Part of me can’t find hope in anything,
Part of me just wants to choke and bleed,
Part of me finds sympathy, In the life I lead,
Part of me can’t breath, In this reality,
Part of me finds strength in destiny,
Torn, Divided, It won’t let me be,
Extreme energy, Never be,
Jealousy, missed opportunity,
Sway through me,
Pull to me, then ignore me,
Begin to invest in nobility, decency,
Oceans changing, thoughts dividing me,
Energy retiring,
Then it seems to be,
Reinvigorating,
Only to leave me hating,
Stranded, forever branded,
One hand is apathy,
On the other hand,
Only to rock me back,
Meaning, lost in indecision,
Divided, hope in a vision,
Always gets twisted,
Fire, burning too intricate,
To exit it,
But then it leaves again,
Only to be burnt to a crisp,
Lying in bed,
Find all but daily peace,
Piece by piece, forever encased,
Try to runaway,
Tempted but something keeps me stayin,
Only to do it all again,
No explanation,
Expectations,
Only situations in my mind,
Like these meaningless rhymes,
That I put weight in,
As if it’s some savior,
Divided,
Should I stay here,
Is there meaning, Am I a believer,
Or is it only a teaser, a laugher,
A path to,
A place that always seem to trap me,
Apathy
