The Book of LIfe Part I

Contributed by NoSaint on Friday, 3rd March 2006 @ 07:09:13 AM in AEST
Topic: fantasy

Allow me to introduce myself
I am Lyscia the dark elf
Times here in my land are tough
Sometimes there is to eat not enough

War has ravaged our land
Seems the end is at hand
A warrior once said
Look not to the dead

But now I long for friends
Who too soon met their end
And family my heart does miss
Seems we are on the edge of an abyss

Is there a champion that can my country save?
Or are we all destined for the grave?
I am but a woman child small
Am I the one to revive us all?

These are the questions I must ask
Before trying to take on such a task
Can the weak find a heart brave?
And a whole nation save?

Or am I just a delusional fool?
Destined to fall by some obscure rule
Is there some miracle I can perform?
And end this terrible deadly storm

The answer is
Written
In
The
Book
Of
Life

This is profoundly touching. Yes dear friend, tmiracles happen all the time. and Saint Paul tells us that when he is weakest, he is strongest.
We just have to have faith. It is within all of us to do marvellous things. Courage!
KUDOS!
The answer is written in the book of life.
Blessings
Elizabeth Damdy

Our book of Life. We start with a clean page every day. We must look to our Creator to help us do what is needed to aid man and life daily. Shari, this is so beautifully poignant. We have good days and bad days, but they are OUR days, given and blessed by our Heavenly Father. May we all work at least one miracle in our lifetimes.

Hugs,
Rita

Superb! A captivating story with a character cursed with a possible gift of being the heroic. Nothing more interesting than this idea. Most importantly you held us on the cliff here, and seeing the next part is something to look forward too.

EXCELLENT JOB!
