Broken Pieces, Bloody Wrists
Broken pieces, bloody wrists.
tell me what you make of this.
Spiking glue and razorblades,
crimson life dripping from the braids
that she spent hours working on
just to pass the time 'til she was gone.
She couldn't take it anymore,
and lost herself on the bathroom floor.
She wished she could just get it through
the thick skulls of all of you..
You ignored the pain she held inside.
You're the reason, beautiful suicide.
You didn't catch her signs, her scars.
Even when she carved them on her arms.
She needed someone to listen..
but the gods couldn't let that happen.
Now just her memory remains,
and it's your turn to take the blame.

I like this one but not for technique, for heart. The feeling that is seeping between the lines makes this poem. |
