Never believed in Fairy Tales

Contributed by JerzeeGurl on Thursday, 2nd March 2006 @ 09:25:16 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I don't believe in fairy tales
I've tried glass slippers and they always break
And when it comes to love spare me the details
Because it all just seems so fake
See...I thought I had love but then it turned into a joke
But I guess it was on me..Because I never laughed
All my hopes and dreams went up in smoke
And for a reason I never asked
I just let it go
Pretended it never had happened
Pretending I had no emotion to show
Yet inside I was falling off of cloud nine with no padding
No prince charming will kiss me as I wake
All that wakes me is my tears
A saddened heart that slowly breaks
When will the pain just disappear
I ask the questions everyday
Yet no answer do I recieve
I guess God has nothing to say
He sees the hopelessness in me

Maybe He's not yet said something and is waiting for you to react in your own way.
His beside you guiding you, waiting for you.
Perhaps though, you have to start the first move.
Good write.
cheers,
-glass

maybe it's not hoplessness...maybe he see's the strength in you to overcome this and he knows he doesn't really have to say much....i get the feeling in this that you are closer to the answer then you realize...this is a great write.

This poem is especially sad to me because it reminds me of when I lost my 27 year old wife to cancer. God will give you an answer, but in His time, not yours. It was when I was at my lowest point that I received my answer. Don't ever give up. "You get the love that you allow." Remember everything can change in the blink of an eye. It will happen when you least expect it. Nice writel

And there never will be any response, so long as monotheism holds your thoughts.

I like the jagged rhyme scheme. Good job.
