Relative Truths

I move with the fluid groove on the waves of relatives truths,
Yet the absolute proof is always a few steps ahead of my mystical roots,
Feels like my physical will have to jump through a flaming hula hoop,
Of small talk, grace, dignity, race, gender, class, all put in this place, yet I yearn to set loose,
For how quickly these things can go, can go, Poof!
How can a graceful God sanction a game where so many lose?
So many lost, so many waves not given the time to formulate,
For the moon is merciless, if you catch my drift,
We all have the same hidden truths some are just more eloquent,
In understanding that as waves put together we are one big element,
Letting go of our consciousness is the only way to eternal enlightenment,
Yet I have way too much time on my hands to come to terms with that,
As the wave epitomizes my soul, as it rushes towards the shore,
With all its highs and lows, the spectacle of its crash,
Is usually the only thing that people notice,
Anytime could be my last,
Yet all I ask,
Is remember that all truth in words is only relative.

good write, one comment,, thought the Hula Hoop semed a contrived ryhmn,
All my work is ryhmnin and people tend to look down on it if you get it a ickle bit wrong, im sure u cld create a better line there and make this poem stand up to poetry snobbery very well :-) |
