There you are in your wedding dress
The wind blowing your hair
I place this ring on your finger
To show you how much I care
As we travel on down this road
You say the love is gone
You packed up all of your belongings
You seemed to have moved on
As I watched you drive over the hill
I formed a space that can never be filled
You broke my heart and tore my world apart
You left me here standing alone, tears falling in the dark
It seemed to me you were the one, but now the deal is done
I've come to a crossroad
I don't know what to do
I feel so helpless, so lonely without you
I thought you'd always cherish our love
Until we were up above
The way you threw me aside
Cuts like a knife and pierces my pride
I'm tired of keeping it locked up inside
There's no use in trying to hide
The sun never shines on my day
My blue skies have turned grey
The clouds are setting in
Down comes the ice cold rain again
The last I heard she had taken the turn
Though she never looked back on me
They set the sails to her abandonment ship
As she departed out to sea

Hold unto the pain. This depth of pain has lessens that will show its equivalent in happiness. Time heals and seasons change, this life will never be the same. |
