Blair Ault

Topic: LostLove

me and blair
Blair Ault
conciousness set afire
we watch the world burn from my bedroom window
watch the ocean spill over and freeze everything
watch the ice melt into an infinite sea
watch the sky fill with water, and the water with sky

plan out our salvation with our fingertips tracing
down the skin, and than fitting together

me and blair
blair ault
running to nowhere
searching for somewhere
being held hostage
in the aching belly of night

"untill dawn, untill dawn" i sing to her
"untill dawn, untill dawn" she repeats
and untill dawn we will hold eachother
untill the light peeks

and as the morning comes,
to sharpen the edges of our reason
we have woken
all is still and peaceful
calm and quiet

me and blair
blair ault
her eyes suddenly grow red with anger
ive never seen anger in her at all
she is staring at the cieling
i am staring at a teardrop streaming down her cheek

"close your eyes" i tell her
" i cant" she says,
"look at me", i say
she closes her eyes

me and blair
have turned to our seperate sides
have said, goodbye

and whos gonna kiss me now?

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
