I wander around this familiar house
now empty, dark, and hear silence
Memories from earlier fill my mind
When this place was filled with violence
I walk through different rooms
and find my family sitting all together
tears streaming down their faces
as my mom whispers " We'll miss her forever"
Puzzled by her choice of words
I ask who she was talking about
They dont answer when I speak to them
Don't even flinch when I shout
I look around for something so say who it was
as I find a newspaper I begin to look and see
I open it to the "Deaths and Services"
and find the death was me
As I read the section again and again
I begin to remember some pain
I remember a razor
As I look down at my slit veins
Now I know the fighting is over
but their mourning has just begun
Yet I smile for me
My life is now done

| an interesting view of suicide... it made me think a little more about how everyone will act when i kill myself... its a great poem....thanx for sharing |
