He will give nothing away
and yet I give everything to him
He feeds me from this cup of pleasure
and I drink from it greedily,
savouring every drop.
He does not love me.
and though I am without his love
I cannot free myself
He has enslaved me,
bound me to him by his passion
I cannot escape.
He will forget me.
And I will spend my days remembering him.
He walks away.
And I am left with memories of desire,
and a love that could have been.
