If I were to say I love you
Would you turn me away
If I said I but cared
Would it make you stay
Do my words have such power
As to shatter earth and sea
Do you stare in disbelief
Or is that look just for me
Will you hold my hand close
With me will you brave storm
Form the fires of our would be passion
Will a true love slowly form
If I said I love you
And would for a thousand years
Would you throw back your head and laugh
Or would you let loose a river of tears
I know not the answers
Though I hope for them every day
Though I know what I should ask
I live in fear of what you may say
So show me mercy, this I beg
Let our sweet words flow
For once hide not what you feel
I ask only let you sweet heart show
