Stop me in time
To pick up
The shattered pieces
Each showing a glimpse
Of my painful past
The perished present
And fearing for the future
Time melting away in my life
With nothing to bring you back
From the permanent ice age
Beneath my sewn together heart
And my shattered soul
To force a smile
Fake a laugh
Is something
I cannot do
For it is unbearable
And I cannot take it
No longer
