I Thought.....

Contributed by OzChick on Tuesday, 28th February 2006 @ 01:51:45 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

~~~
I thought I could trust you, that you would be true.
That you’d never hurt me, I thought I knew you.
I gave you my heart right from the start.
Never suspecting, you’d tear it apart.
I was so blind, it came from behind.
This blow to my heart was more than unkind.
What did I do to deserve this from you?
Can you give me a hint? Can you give me a clue?
I thought you were a friend, on which I could depend.
I never imagined that it would end.
I thought I could trust you, that you would be true.
That you’d never hurt me, I thought I knew you.
~~~

Oh this is not good. No one needs that type of surprise, very, very unpleasant. Only thing one can say is, ok.. they put out their full trust and got smacked, and do we not all learn new lessons in life.. there are disappointments in all situations. There is one positive side to this though.. and its great you learned about the distrust in the relationship. Many are in relationships, living alone, alone. I pray a gift of love will be coming your way very soon.

Very well expressed words indeed. i like the way this just flows you can read it fast and the words just blur into each other. Read outloud the passion of this piece really comes out.

Excellent.

Oh wow yes, have I been blindsided. More times than I would like to count. Only really two but still, I hate counting them. :-)

Yeah, it seems those questions are never answered.

Now the poem itself. It's wonderful. You have a really nice style of writing and I apologize for missing out. I will rectify that situation, Jenny.

It has a very very nice rhyme scheme and flow. You write beautifully.

Take care and thank you for sharing.

Timotheus
:-)
