Journey

Contributed by Leslie on Monday, 27th February 2006 @ 11:10:44 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

As I age
And leave my youth
I begin to question
And wonder
What was truth

My journey has been
An arduous one
Fraught with strife
And love undone

Was truth the woman
Who fell apart
Or
Was truth the child
Who was strong
From the start

Now I know
That strength was always mine
And
Lasting love has given me
A life most sublime

My journey has been
A passionate one
Filled with the knowledge
I made a difference to some

To continually seek
Is my quest
And I will ceaselessly strive
To do my best

The write was equisite-

We learn.. what is and how to "love" during our formative years-

It's during this time we learn what nurturing is.
If that lesson is defunct,
we regress back to that, which was never properly
conveyed..and instinctually, try to work it out,
inevitably, as we mature.

So says trial and error.. lol
5 frome me Luv.. I feel ya.

Sincerely..

Billy

A fitting tribute to the lessons of life-
3rd stanza's question..most readily answered:

Inherently, it's all good. We learn to love almost immediately from birth-
Every other emotion is incidental.

Live and learn, as it were.
(unfortunately)

Truly-

Billy

I enjoyed the positivity of this piece the first three verses I thought lifes really got to you! then the second half of the poem you turn it all around with a positive slant.
This has been very well thought out indeed.
well done.
