To My Angel

Slowly the text creeps into my fragile mind.
I uncurl my fists and I start to realize,
that everything is good,
that I am okay.
I see that I'm alive,
And I'm happy for this day.
My love is here beside me,
I'll never let him go.
He's all I need to let me know,
That I'm capable of a happy life.

I've got great friends,
who make me feel lucky.
My husband's love to no end,
And a sweet collie puppy.
I have a decent personality,
That can help me get by.
There's no need to be upset,
No reason left to cry.

I hope my love knows how much he means,
And can excuse my dark side's screams.
And be happy too and know that I
will never let him down or hasten to die.
