Let's kiss the waves

Contributed by Hurretje on Monday, 27th February 2006 @ 02:56:26 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Let's kiss the waves

I count to three
Throughout the days
A humming bee
Praises the rays
Of light
So bright

Once in your eyes
The dancing sea
The dry sand cries
Inside of me
Soft tears
Appear

I don't desire the stars
As the night falls
I quench the fire that scars
Draw up thick walls

I'm in my tomb
My thoughts compact
I now react
To the rhyme and reason
To the time and season
Of my new womb

My heart's a hole
My blood is thick
Like stone and brick
That can't be felt in here
That cannot melt, o dear
In my died soul

Let's kiss the waves, my dear
And drown together
It's death that saves down here
In stormy weather

*

The knives and forks don't sing anymore

An empty house
Is left
Now that you've gone

The lights are out
For good
I've closed my eyes

I've forgotten how the kitchen smelled
And how forks and knives sang
On almost emptied plates

A happy heart
Is gone
Now that you've left

My soul is cold
A shell
I've quenched the fire

I've forgotten how our shelter smelled
And how mind and soul sang
With all the windows open

I like this poem a lot.. its deep and meaningful. It's more then obvious that this poem took a lot to write. I love how it flows and its just beautiful. "Let's kiss the waves, my dear
And drown together
It's death that saves down here
In stormy weather
" I love that especially.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh is so sad, with yearning and longing for a love lost! Feeling of feelings so deep, and felt very much by your reader indeed!
I hope this isn't really happening to you dear friend, but if so, I'm so glad you are brave enough to feel it, and then get through it.
I loved each and every word too!
Warm love
consue
