And the world won’t stop spinning,
and my heart won’t stop breaking,
I’ll just keep on running,
from the truth,
Covering my tracks with more lies.
Stumbling through this forest of deception,
I’ll just keep on spinning,
this elaborate web of love,
that you call lies.
I’ll keep telling you this and that,
so I can keep running,
away from the truth,
away from you.
Until these vines of deceit,
wrap themselves,
around this tired heart,
and squeeze out its truth.
It bleeds,
drops of pure honesty ,
falling from this wilted body,
bring tears from your eyes.
Tears I don’t deserve.
Tears that roll,
across your cheeks,
and down your quivering lips.
The vines let loose,
reality sets in,
I love you.
My words lose meaning,
when seeing your face,
with drops falling freely.
My heart breaks,
my legs falter,
I run no more.
