Unrequitted pettiness
Contemptuous mask that no one believes
Uncharted diamond in that of my mind
No where did they believe you,
You are a shell of yourself
Nothing more,
'Nevermore'
A past of our past Self
I, a growing bomb
and you,
A withering beast
Pierce the flesh that is not yet a part of you
Bruised
Scarred
Pretend
Pretend to be the battered Angel,
Pretend to have the souless sold
A gown for the groan,
Slither past me with a breath of deceit
Dye the innocence
Tear the mad
A costume for the consumed
Cry the tears of bodom,
Reach for unreachable redemption
The serpent despises redemption,
It would not suit you
A stone to Goliath
My voice to your synthesizer
Morph it,
Mold it
Steal it
A thief of epic proportions
Take it,
It's yours

Wow, great and powerful write. I seriously enjoyed reading it and the title is very fitting as it sets the point of view for the entire poem. It flows very nicely and the bolded words are effective. Only a few minor grammatical errors. Overall, great work... I look forward to reading more work from you.

I liked this read. I had to read this many, many times to wrap my head around what you are getting at. Is this internal? Seems to me that way. |
