The Hard Problem

Contributed by Lancaster on Saturday, 25th February 2006 @ 09:54:07 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

An omission to the entirety of the truth, the white lie that entices the beast
A slow coma persists as you are rendered sound asleep

Socially deviant penetration, your secrets unleashed
Territorial ejaculation just to spread your seed

Wasteful appreciation of the homeless man in dire need
Pising away your pension on hookers tripping on acid and high on speed

A rambunctious bunch, the men who sit quite and stir their tea
The presumptuous hunch, that leaves you sitting here alone with me

Anxiety provoked impulsions have recently subsided
The pathology that mistook its orders was diagnostically divided

Anorexicaly disproportionate, obesity engulfs the entire truth
The propensity for confessing is overburdened with pain

A common occurrence that usually goes unnoticed
Berated and indignant you wipe off the rust which has corroded

A game of numbers, pseudorandom numerical algorithms
The base of the fundamental argument is concealed in its dungeons

The war began centuries ago, indigenous peoples overflowed
A mushroom cloud overdosed, hastily rushed to the internal psych ward

Markedly mentionable and geometrically asymmetrical
The shapes of colors contorting in a spectrum delightfully red

Horrid decisions, in preparing provisions, for the trip unknown
Sustenance, minerals and vitamins, a gallon of water for thirst

An endeavor so tauntingly clever, it could never succeed or suffice
The heroic warrior, resilient and bitter embarking on this journey tonight

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
