rage

Contributed by rageprophet on Saturday, 25th February 2006 @ 05:23:07 PM in AEST
Topic: abstract

The rage that resides within me cannot be pacified, the earth itself cannot withstand the fury of my wrath. I will eat the children of my adversary and stomp what's left into dust. The skies shutter at my arrival and the air is still in my presence. My roar pierces the core of the earth. Thoughts in my mind spin and turn. I want to devour the earth and everything in it, the birds sing sweet melodies on beautiful spring days and then the sky rains fire and everything is destroyed. The world lacks the courage of its convictions, it is a spineless worm, a loathsome thing to behold, but then there are some which stop the earth on its axis they are pure in every way and everything about them is pleasant, in there presence is the only thing that calms my anger and dulls my hate, the heart flutters and the rage within me tries to rise up. Bury it deep, I can destroy the world tomorrow.

Such emotion...such hate and in effect, such love as well. Enveloped so well within the words of your poem. I can appreciate the stance from which it is written even if I can't completely relate. You have summed up your feelings so well with only minor grammatical errors. Great work, keep it up.
